7 Things I Want to Do In My Lifetime

We immerse ourselves through so many hours of time in our lives, living breathing, you know, the usual bodily functions. Occasionally, my mind often drifts off and thinks about the things i'd like to experience, not the kind of things that involve ticking things off my finally finished to do list, but something more exciting. I'm sure we all have things we'd like be a part of or may even have planned to do in the upcoming future. These insane experiences that can't ever be forgotten, can touch our hearts to look back on.

Under the sea: Have you seen those absolutely glorious underwater videos of a diver in the most majestic blue ocean. Accompanying him are loads of little fish swimming around the cream coloured sea corals. Experiencing the under water habitat even for just 10 minutes, would just fill me with a wave of happiness, that would't be able to be experienced anywhere else. On top of the water, i'd really like to get on a jet ski and zoom through the sea, but then a wave will probably splash me and I will end up falling off or losing my sunglasses!

Feeling calm in nature: If you don't know who Bear Grylls is, he is slightly crazy regarding the extreme things that he climbs, but he also does more people-friendly type of walks though various breath taking scenery. He took Obama along such a breath taking walk, and it was actually quite interesting to see the president climbing through Alaska. Taking a stroll with an astonishing view in the background, like a waterfall or a mountain, while soaking in the natural wonders of life would be such a lovely thing to be a part of. I think this one is easier to accomplish than scary sky diving, because, well, you're on the ground!

Sky diving:  Before you jump out of your seats or you might even think it's a totally amazing idea, it's something I would probably feel brilliant to have accomplished. Although, for the moment I really can't see myself actually taking part in such an extreme activity! I don't mind going a little bit out of my comfort zone, but that's just a little too far for me! I'd probably have more of a chance of zooming through air perhaps strapped to a professional, but even then it still makes my stomach curl, but I still kind of want to see what it would be like flying through the air. Don't you think it's just a little scary though?

Explore little towns: I want to say Bonjour in a really bad accent when getting warm croissants for breakfast, before exploring the cute little city and what it has to offer. Or even take an inspirational stroll down small Italian cobble streets, with little wish fountains to add our coins in. Then drive away in one of those famous Italian vespas. I think I may have watched too many Mary-Kate and Ashley movies when I was younger, but this would be absolutely lovely to do. Especially finishing the journey off with Antonio, the singing man accompanying us on our little boat on the canal, munching some famous italian pasta and pizza, perfecto!

Something unpredictable: Wouldn't it be just nuts to ride a couple of elephants in South Africa or something unexpected like take a selfie with an ostrich. Something you probably didn't plan for, which will give you memories to cherish for a life time. The things you wouldn't be able to do in the city, but wouldn't expect to come across when you're there. Like, do people search elephant rides and and you pre book through paypal? Haha

Skiing: Getting on a pair of skiis, smoothly zooming down surrounded by mountain views would be extraordinary, hoping not to take a tumble at the bottom. The only thing that's a problem is that I can't skii and I won't know if I can until i'm 500ft up and theres no going back now. I've also always wanted to get on one of those skii lifts but I wouldn't want to get off, i'd continue going on a loop if I could. The snowy hill tops and icy fresh air would probably be so refreshing and would be such an exhilarating thrill, especially after finally getting the hang of the skiis.

Making memories: When I was younger and we would be in the travel agents booking a holiday, y'know, before everything was done online. I would flick through the brochures of any country that caught my eye or were at ams length. I would see these amazing resorts with your own Villa with crystal clear oceans, crabs and people with really white teeth, smiling. I'd think where is this place? Those holiday experiences regardless, if they look like the brochures or not, provide one of the best experiences for us. Memories that can't be replaced, admiring the photo's of sand, sea and the sweet smell of summer, creating some of the best memories with the people we share it with.

What are some of the things you would like to do?

  1. I definitely agree with experiencing the under sea world, or a little bit of it anyways hahah. I go to Thailand almost every year and I would really recommend you go there if you want to snorkel, dive and all sorts of ocean activities. The water is clear blue and the first time I went it was so surreal!! This was such a nice post to read :)
